Upcoming Book Ideas – What’s Next?

One book down, another almost out in the world… and about a dozen more sitting half-finished, in notebooks, or just rattling around in my head. Welcome to the chaos of being a writer.
So, what’s actually on the horizon? Let’s have a little nosey through the works-in-progress and “one day maybe” ideas:
Almost There
I’m currently in the final editing stages of my second book, How The West Was Faked — a western romance with cowboys, chaos, and a heroine who’s faking it far more than she probably should. It’s been a ride (pun very much intended), and I can’t wait to share it with you soon.
Half-Written, Half-Forgotten
There’s also The 12 Men of Christmas / The 12 Dates of Christmas (no official title yet, clearly). I started this about five years ago, got a hefty chunk down, and then… life happened. The final chapter is actually written, but I can’t, for the life of me, remember how I intended to get my characters there. So, for now, it’s sitting in the “maybe one day I’ll revive you” pile.
Loose Book Ideas
Technically, How The West Was Faked could have a follow-up. Maybe even a third book if Harper and Wyatt have more to say for themselves. I’ve got some scenes scribbled down and a vague plan, but nothing too solid just yet.
Then there’s the idea that’s been sitting in my brain almost as long as Another Day On The Island: a three-part series set in a fictional European country, where a girl accidentally falls for the crown prince. The structure’s sketched out, but I haven’t written a single proper chapter yet. It’s very much in the “dreaming” stage, but I think about it all the time.
Other Random Sparks
Like most writers, I’ve got a handful of other half-baked book ideas, ones I’ve not even thought hard enough about to start. They’re just hovering in the background, waiting for the right moment (or maybe the right dream) to push me into writing them.
So that’s where I’m at, a mix of nearly-finished, half-written, and barely-formed. I suppose that’s part of the fun though, right? Knowing there’s always another story waiting its turn.
Leave me a comment and let me know which book you’d like to see next, I’d love to know what you think! And if you’ve already read Another Day On The Island, please do leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads — it honestly makes such a difference. 💚
